A : Webcarhire partners with hundreds of car hire suppliers worldwide to deliver
savings to our customers. Online since 2002, our team has helped thousands of customers
enjoy a smooth trip. When it comes to booking, we deliver peace of mind via instant
confirmation of your booking, which we send straight to your inbox. These steps
will help anyone new to us book a hire car using our system:
A simple guide to using Webcarhire.com
Step 1: On the Webcarhire homepage, select your country of residence, the locations
you plan to pick up and drop off the vehicle, your preferred dates and times for
pick up and drop off as well as the age of your driver. Click the ‘Find my car’
button and wait a few moments until we connect to our supplier’s booking systems.
Step 2: Sort through the results from the various hire car suppliers. Select the
car hire deal you’d like to book. If no cars are available for hire, you may wish
to adjust your search criteria or Request a Quote
and see if we can help you personally.
Step 3: Read through all the terms and conditions to ensure you understand every
part of your car hire contract. Add any extras you like or take advantage of our
Travel Insurance and Cancellation Protection.
Step 4: If payment is required, read your payment summary carefully. The deposit
highlighted is the amount Webcarhire takes from your credit card while the balance
is what you’ll pay at the counter when you pick up your vehicle. We take the deposit
from your card only once your booking has been confirmed (See Step 5). Our system
accepts Visa and MasterCard and uses a 128-bit encryption to protect your information.
No payment is required to book cars with Avis, Budget or Hertz.
Step 5: Check your inbox for instant confirmation of your booking. The email will
contain your Webcarhire reservation number and the complete details of your transaction,
including the balance to be paid on pickup. Before you pick up the vehicle, you
will receive another email from us supplying you with an additional reservation
number belonging to the car hire company (unless you have booked with either Hertz,
Budget, Avis or Europcar whereby your first confirmation email will include their
confirmation number). We recommend you print the email(s) and take them with you
when you pick up the car.

Q : Is my personal information kept private?
|
|
|
A : Totally. We do not divulge your information to anyone except the minimum necessary
for the car hire company to process your booking. None of your payment details,
including credit card are forwarded to a third party. Please review our Privacy Statement
for more information.

Q : Is it safe to use my credit card on your site?
|
|
|
A : We take every measure possible to ensure your credit card information is safe
on our site. Your credit card details are processed using 128 bit encryption to
eliminate the chance of unlawful interception on the internet.
In addition, we do not store your credit card details in our database. Once your
payment has been processed your credit card details are safely discarded. This ensures
nobody can use your credit card details at a later date.

Q : If you discard my credit card details, how do you know
which card to make refunds to?
|
|
|
A : We safely store a bank transaction number. In the event that you require a refund,
we pass the transaction number back to our bank with the refund request. The bank
then determines which card was used for the initial payment and refunds your money
accordingly.

Q : Will the car rental company receive my booking immediately?
|
|
|
A : Yes. We forward your booking details electronically to the car rental company
as soon as the credit card transaction is approved.

Q : Can I cancel my booking?
|
|
|
A : Yes. Cancel any bookings you have made by logging into My Bookings.
If you purchased Cancellation Protection with your booking, you’re able to cancel
at no charge up to 24 hours before picking up the vehicle. The Protection means
your deposit will be returned to you, minus the cost of the Cancellation insurance
and any processing fees.
You can expect the payment to be credited back onto your credit card a minimum of
24 hours after your cancellation has been processed.
If you chose to forgo Cancellation Protection, you will be unable to reclaim your
deposit once you cancel the booking.

Q : What is Cancellation Protection?
|
|
|
A : Cancellation Protection is coverage for your car hire booking, allowing you
to cancel your booking with Webcarhire up to 24 hours prior to pickup of your vehicle.
Your deposit will be refunded to you, less the Cancellation Protection Fee and any
processing fees. If you can’t remember these costs, please refer back to your Booking
Confirmation email from us.
Please be aware, cancellation Protection does not cover the purchase of travel insurance.
In some cases, additional charges may be incurred.

Q : How much does Cancellation Protection cost?
|
|
|
A : The cost of Cancellation Protection varies between countries of pick up. You
will be informed of the charge during the booking process and before you reserve
your car rental on our site.

Q : How can I purchase Cancellation Protection?
|
|
|
A : For bookings which ask you for a deposit, you will be asked if you’d like to
purchase Cancellation Protection during the booking process and before your reserve
your car rental. The charge will be clearly stated to you.

Q : Can I modify my booking?
|
|
|
A : Yes, we allow you to modify your booking prior to picking up your car. There
will be time restrictions on this depending on which supplier you have booked with
and the car group you wish to modify. Europcar bookings (excluding those in Australia,
New Zealand and South Africa) cannot be modified online. You can modify a booking
immediately after it has been created.
Simply email info@webcarhire.com with details of the required changes and we will action
them as soon as possible.

Q : Can I modify my booking after I have collected the
car?
|
|
|
A : If you wish to extend once the rental has begun, this will need to be done directly
with the car rental company. In this instance we cannot guarantee you will receive
the same rate as what you have booked at.

Q : I require insurance for my car hire, can Webcarhire
help?
|
|
|
A : Webcarhire has partnered with Allianz Global Assistance to offer customers coverage where you’ll pay zero
excess should your rental car be stolen, crashed or damaged while in your care (terms
and conditions apply). Before you sign up for the coverage, make sure you read and
understand the Product Disclosure
Statement..
The cover can be purchased for your travel in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Croatia,
Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland,
Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, South Africa,
Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.

A : Travel insurance varies for each car hire booking. The amount will be clearly
stated to you after you’ve selected the vehicle you’d like to rent and before you

Q : I have purchased Travel Insurance through Webcarhire,
will I need any other coverage?
|
|
|
A : The travel insurance coverage you purchase with Webcarhire is provided by our
partners Allianz Global Assistance. You will not be required to take out any other insurance for your hire car,
including the insurance sold to you directly by the car hire company.

A : After you’ve selected the vehicle you’d like to hire and before you complete
the booking, if applicable to your rental you will asked if you’d like to purchase
Travel Insurance through Webcarhire. The cost will be clearly stated to you.

Q : Will I be guaranteed the car I see on the screen?
|
|
|
A : No, this is never possible. During the booking process, the car you see pictured
on the screen gives you a general indication of the vehicle you can expect to pick
up. No car company can guarantee the specific make and model, but instead will guarantee
the criteria is met in the car hire ‘group’ by giving you a similar vehicle to the
one in the image.
‘Group’ is a term used by car companies to describe the category of the car. E.g.
Car with code ECMR will provide you with an Economy vehicle, 2/4 Door, Manual with
air conditioning. In this example, you can expect a car similar to the one you see
in the picture, guaranteed to meet these requirements.

when I pick up the car?

A : Webcarhire is not a car hire company. Instead, we are an online broker which
partners with various car hire suppliers around the world.

If you’ve already booked the vehicle and forgotten to check, refer to the email
we sent immediately after your transaction, confirming your booking.

Q : What is one-way car hire?
|
|
|
A : “One-way” car hire refers to selecting one destination for vehicle pick up,
and another for vehicle drop off. Many people chose this option when travelling
from coast to coast.

Q : Does Webcarhire facilitate one-way car hire bookings?
|
|
|
A : Yes, our site is loaded with many one-way hire options. If the one-way rental
you look for is possible, the drop off destination you look for will appear in the
menu.
International one-ways may also be possible but cannot be booked online. Contact
Us for a quote.
Charges may apply for certain one-way journeys, but we’ll advise you of these costs
(if applicable) before you finalise your booking and pay your deposit.
