Beaches: The closest three beaches to the town of Coffs Harbour include: Park Beach, Jetty Beach and Boambee Beach. North of town there are a number of other beautiful beaches which are worth a visit if you have the time. Northern beaches include: Diggers, Campbells, Mid Sapphire, Moonee, Shelley, Emerald, Fiddamans and Sandy Beach.

The Big Banana: The centre is famous for the giant concrete banana structure which sits at the front of the complex. The monorail tour of the complex incorporates the Aboriginal Dreamtime Cave which features the Dreamtime story of the Gumbaingirr tribe, a skywalk to the lookout, toboggan rides, an ice rink, a billabong complete with bunyip, an audio-visual theatrette, historical exhibits, hydroponic glasshouses, a tissue culture laboratory and a hill-top restaurant.
